A native Californian, Lainie and her husband, Bill, planted a Vineyard church in Connecticut in 1986. In 2016 they transitioned to pastoring half-time in response to God’s gracious invitation into more active soul care ministry to leaders and pastors both inside and outside the Vineyard through spiritual direction and formational retreats and training.
As a follower of Jesus and a pastor, these ministries were first life-saving and life-sustaining for Lainie. Getting to be part of the process of accompanying others on the journey of spiritual formation is a pure gift of God’s grace and an ongoing source of joy. Lainie received an M.A. in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology in CA. She’s a certified spiritual director as well as an instructor for the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction. She’s also certified in the practice of accompanying others through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
Since 2015 she has served as a Mentor for Spiritual Direction with the Annand Program for Spiritual Formation at Yale Divinity School in New Haven.
