Bill graduated from University of New Haven with a B.S. in Communication in 1976 and from Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA with an M.Div in 1984. He has four decades of pastoral ministry, mostly in the Vineyard. In 1986 Bill and his wife Lainie planted the New Haven Vineyard Church in New Haven CT, pastoring it until 2018. In addition, he served as Soul Care Coordinator for the Eastern Region of Vineyard USA from 2012-2019, allowing him to follow his call to care for the spiritual lives of pastors, church leaders and congregations. He is a trained Spiritual Director, receiving his certification from Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction. In 2015 Bill and Lainie founded SoulTend, a ministry of Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction. In addition to his work as a spiritual director, he is the part-time Spiritual Formation pastor at Elm City Vineyard in New Haven.
Bill and Lainie were married in 1984 and have two grown children, Sara and John. They live in Hamden, CT. Bill loves longs walks in the nearby State Park, reading, listening to music of every kind and his beloved New York area sports teams.
